White motor yacht cruising on the open sea, seen from above

Yacht, boat & heavy haulage by road – across Europe

Your yacht.
In the best hands.

We move valuables, not just freight.

It started in 1994 with one sailing boat, collected from Denmark for winter storage – and it became a life’s work. Sailing yacht or motor cruiser, lifeboat or one-off fabrication: we handle every load as if it were our own. Careful, discreet, no shortcuts.

What we do

Two specialities. One standard: she arrives unmarked.

Why Faltus & Bantje

Nobody hands a boat they love to just any haulier.

For 31 years, owners, brokers and boatyards have handed us the most valuable thing they own. Here is why they keep coming back.

  • Discretion comes as standard

When a boat is worth millions, so is silence. What we carry, and who we carry it for, stays between us.

  • The driver is the real insurance

Careful hands, not haulage routine – with full CMR cover behind them.

  • One number, start to finish

Permits, escort vehicles, cranage, mast work, winter storage: one person owns your job from first call to handover.

  • We do it ourselves

If the job calls for it, we lift her out of the water, and we have skippered her to the quay ourselves.

How it works

You set the course. We do the rest.

One person handles your transport from the first call to the handover – so you always know who to ring and where your boat is.

  1. 1

    Tell us about the boat

Dimensions, weight, where she is now and where she needs to be. That is all we need to start.

  2. 2

    Get a firm quote

A clear price with no hidden extras, from the person who will actually run the job – usually within 24 hours.

  3. 3

    We take it from there

Cranage, permits, escorts, route survey, customs. You do not have to chase a single one of them.

  4. 4

    She arrives as she left

On the agreed date, at the agreed berth, without a mark on her.

Case studies

When it has to go right, they call us.

Germany’s volunteer sea rescue service (DGzRS) asked us to move “Onkel Willi”, the daughter boat of the lifeboat “Nis Randers”. When a rescue craft has to be back on station, there is no second attempt. We do the same week in, week out for Yachtwerft Meyer and Binder Edelstahl in Bremen.

FAQ

Questions owners ask us first.

What does Faltus & Bantje actually transport?

Sailing yachts, motor boats and catamarans by road anywhere in Europe – and, on the same low-loaders, heavy and abnormal loads: lifeboats, machinery, industrial plant and one-off fabrications. Permits, escort vehicles, cranage and loading are all handled by us, so you deal with one company rather than five.

Why move a boat by road rather than ship it by sea?

Because you get a date you can plan around. By road your boat arrives in days rather than weeks, whatever the weather is doing in the Bay of Biscay. She logs no extra sea miles, no engine hours and no salt; you keep your holiday for sailing instead of waiting; and you know the arrival date before the job starts.

Which countries do you cover?

All of Europe. Regular runs take us to the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Croatia and Scandinavia, and we cross every transit country in between down to the Mediterranean and the Adriatic. Norway, Switzerland and other non-EU destinations are routine too – we handle the customs paperwork.

How fast will I get a quote?

Usually within 24 hours, and from Ulrich Faltus himself rather than a call centre. Send the boat’s dimensions, weight, the two locations and your preferred dates, and you get a firm, no-obligation price back.

Can you be trusted with a high-value yacht?

That is most of what we do. Since 1994 we have carried boats worth millions for private owners, brokers and boatyards, insured under CMR terms throughout. Names, values and destinations stay with us – a number of our clients specifically require that.

Ready to put your boat in safe hands?

Send us the dimensions, the route and your preferred dates – you’ll have a firm, no-obligation quote, usually within 24 hours.
